thank goodness it's not malaria! i learned tonight from my boss that CDC follows "Peace Corps protocol" which means they would have sent me home for malaria. that would have ruined EVERYTHING.
the irony is too much. the CDC aims to keep troublesome diseases out of the U.S., yet they would have sent home a lowly intern to be treated. ohh, America.
